Madrigal Vineyards in Calistoga
Chris Madrigal grew up helping his dad manage some of Napa's best vineyards. Their family has grown grapes in Napa since the 1930s. Today, Chris has created his own winery right on Highway 29 south of Calistoga. Its open only by appointment - because Napa won't let them post hours. Call them - they are great folks and happy to have visitors to their tasting room.
Our current selection from Chris is the 2009 Napa Petite Sirah. This is a new release of Petite Sirah from the Napa Valley. This grape is a fantastic alternative to the 'Cab' lover - bold, intense, but with completely different flavors and textures.
