Russian River Detail

When Gus first drew this scene, you could not see the full ox bow bend and it was difficult to see this as a river.

I asked Gus 'Why?' .

Gus said that from where he stood he couldn't see the full bend. So I asked 'What if you were higher up in the trees?'

Hence this tree top view of the secret bend near Monte Rio.
