Welcome to Harvest View Wine
Our view of the harvest is found in each special bottle of spectacular Sonoma & California wine.
We work with local vineyard owners, winemakers and coopers to create each wine. Special vineyards provide excellent flavors and freshness. Their skill is shown in the resulting fruit, its delicacy, its balance and ripeness all impacted and influenced - by decisions of vineyard layout, clonal and varietal selection, pruning and trellising choices.
Experienced winemakers take the fruit and use their expertise constantly - from picking decisions, winemaking techniques, choice of wild and/or commercial yeast, and selection of one or more different cooperage.
Our consulting winemakers then work together to finish the wine - which requires a light and nuanced touch. One Harvest View wine may have 5 different winemakers contributing to the final wine. Blending is one step -for example, just 3% of one pinot blended into another changed everything about it. But the 3% pinot had wine from 4 different winemakers already blended into it.
We are announcing our Harvest View Tempranillo from El Dorado, our first 2014 Harvest View Sonoma Coast Pinot from Sonoma County, our vineyard designate 2014 Blooma Pinot Noir from Crane Vineyard near Sonoma Mountain., and our 2013 Harvest View Optical Illusion, a red blend mostly from Dry Creek Valley.
This custom blend is just 180 cases of rich deep dark lusciousness. Touch of cocoa on the finish in case you aren't sure how smooth it is. Tempranillo is finding it's way into our California repertoire as a great addition for black fruited big reds like Cabernet Sauvignon. $45 / $39 members.
Harvest View 'Optical Illusion' - This is a luscious blend of cabernet, merlot and zinfandel from Dry Creek Valley and other Sonoma County vineyards. A very few barrels were selected and carefully mixed to ensure the resulting blend would excel. The resulting wine is scrumptious - balancing fruit with structure and intensity with suppleness. What does that all mean? Not quite sure but it sure goes down easy.
"A wine glass is never half empty - its always full of good memories."

was grown on top of Calistoga road, in the forest bordering Napa and Sonoma County. This Mountain Ranch Road vineyard is tucked away in the hills, obscured by the trees, yet produces excellent conditions for hilltop Cabernet Sauvignon. The earthy soils provides the fruit with the clear scent of cedar, producing a deeply aromatic wine that emphasizes complexity, not just fruit. $55 - Members Special: $45.
Fantastic release from Sonoma Coast! Beautiful! This 100 case release Pinot Noir is from 2 main Pinot Noir areas of Sonoma County - Sonoma Mountain (Crane Vineyard) and Sonoma Coast (Russian River). The resulting blend consists of Pinot Noir from 5 different winemakers! A drier pinot noir, with nice spice, dark cherried fruit and touch of earth. Not jammy or sweet, this wine is also a bit lower in alcohol than many California Pinot Noirs at 13.9%. With good acidic structure, it can age for 5-10 years. Decant it for 30 minutes if drinking from 2016-2018. $49 Members just $42.
